When three best friends decide to take a summer-long vacation to Nantucket Island, their lives, and marriages begin to unravel one affair at a time. Jo’s life goes into a tailspin when she receives a letter from Stephen asking for a divorce, saying they have grown apart. A cliché at best, she thinks, until she learns he is expecting a child with his girlfriend, thirty years his junior. She contemplates reconciliation after Stephen begs for a second chance. When three-time married Dolly Fletcher, offers some life-changing marital advice, Jo proceeds with a divorce. Yearning for her old life, she struggles with her decision until Stephen empties her bank account, cuts off her credit cards, and locks her out of their home. Tired of his games, she decides to fight back. What happens next leaves Stephen, a well-respected physician, with his pants down, and Jo at a considerable advantage.

If you are a hopeless women's fic junkie and you like Nancy Thayer, Dot Benton Frank, Mary Kay Andrews or Emily Leibert you will like this one. All the usual plots and tropes are present and they are done in great style. It is an ensemble cast and the pace is just right - the pov switches are well thought out and it wasn't frustratingly jumpy or cut off too quickly.I liked this one a lot and with everybody getting exactly what they deserved in the end, both the good guys and the bad guys, LL did a great job with this one and it is a great beach read.

Such a good story! She's clearly a very talented author!
Loved this book! The characters were very interesting and I enjoyed getting to "know" them. I was envious of the beautiful summer they had planned. The drama in each of their lives keep me interested and I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. I began rooting for them and their happiness. I've recommended this book to several of my friends. I read this book first on my iPhone and now I'm ordering a copy of the paperback just so I can have it for my collection of favorite books.
When I first picked up the book, I just couldn't put it down! All the characters have interesting stories and each grow throughout the book. It relates to a wide age range of women and has a lot of good advice on how to deal with marital problems. I would recommend this book to any woman. It also takes place in a beautiful place, Nantucket!
most stupid end such a good story could't have. After so much angst the end felt like a big failur and i close the book feeling cheated
Season of Change was the first book I purchased for my . I loved it (and my ). My two best girlfriends and I love to get away, leave the hustle and bustle behind, kick back with a bottle of wine and laugh until our sides hurt. Cyn, Susie and Jo are fun to get to know and Adam is just the spice needed for a happy ending. Very well written, very enjoyable read. Thank you, Leslie.
